CORRUPTION AGENCY
Making Anti-Corruption Agencies more Effective
Just making laws is not enough. Its implementation is what makes a difference to the society. One classic example is the historic Anna movement which eventually led to the formulation of Lokpal Act. However, the Act has not been implemented in its true spirit at Central and State levels. Same is the case with other regulatory bodies like RERA,IRDA, anti-corruption committee as well as the State Information Commission. Our experience indicates that we need to constantly monitor the performance, demand accountability and transparency in these institutions to make them more effective to fight corruption. Our work speaks for itself when it comes to demanding accountability from these institutions.
