India is notorious for police atrocities nation-wide. Even after 14 years after the Supreme Court orders, we still do not have a proper functioning ‘Police Complaint Authority’. Due to our constant and aggressive follow ups, the government finally relented and set up the ‘Police Complaint Authority’ in Mumbai. We did not stop here and continue to exposed effectiveness of the authority. It’s important to constantly monitor the working and make sure the Police Complaint Authority is established and working effectively to control the Police atrocities in Maharashtra.
