Health Care Crisis in Pandemic

It was through an RTI filed by Jeetendra Ghadge it was established that one of the major reasons as to why government health schemes fail to reach people is the low number of empaneled hospitals and the lack of cooperation between Center and State Governments. While Maharashtra bore the maximum burnt of Coronavirus cases, it did not receive aid from the Central government in the same proportion. Although the state recorded the country's highest tally and toll of Covid-19 cases, it got merely Rs 108 crore from the Central government's kitty. Karnataka, which had less than half of Maharashtra's, got six times the assistance.
